Dear Friend,
What's your experience of long term care?
I am writing to ask you for your views and experiences about long term care. It is five years since I was a member of the Royal Commission reporting on this issue. You can help to see how things have changed and whether people are getting the support that they need, and have a right to expect.
If you have any views or experience as a patient, user or carer, please spend a few minutes filling in our questionnaire. This information will be kept confidential and will be very valuable in building an accurate picture that we can put before the government.
As 1 in 4 of us need long term care at some point in our lives, it is clear that this issue affects many families. A poll by the BBC placed the need for free long term care above all other NHS issues. Many people undoubtedly feel strongly, but it is crucial that you help if you can, so that we can give ministers an insight in to ways that they can improve the system and change lives.
Please pass this letter on to others who you think may want to respond.
